Last Week of school

So the last week of summer is here
and we are gonna miss this summer so dear.
Vacations were spent worldwide,
but now we have to kiss it goodbye.
Hot boys, and summer tans
all have to be replaced with vanz.
Time to make the grades
and say hurray
that graduation day is drawing near.
Soon homework will be in the place of t.v
and dances will be in place of the beach.
So be ready cause there is no where we can hide,
so lets say hello nationwide.
To opening history books
and classes galore
Goodbye summer 2011
hello to a new year.

Stretching Endlessly

Sitting along the Galveston Coast on a beautiful Friday afternoon was pure bliss. A very limited amount of beach goers littered the stretch of sand my best friend and I occupied.  As I stared out over the brown salty water all I could do was watch the waves. It reminded me of an article I wrote last summer when I was in Hawaii. In Hawaii I was reminded of how God washes away our sins just like the ocean tides wipe away our footprints. That the footprint that we left are erased and can never be replaced. Sure a footprint by the same person can be pressed into the sand again, but not in the same way. Things and times will change. Falling into His Grace

We are four months from a New Year and with it comes our New Year resolutions. As humans we take January as the time to forget what happened the previous year and start a clean slate with the upcoming year. However, we do not have to wait till then to change our relationship with Christ. Whether it is radiating bright, a semi-flame, or nonexistent we can fix where we stand with God at any time. Throughout our walk with God we often slip back into our old ways that Christ redeemed us from. We turn away from the things of God and solely rely on our strength. We don’t allow God to be the center of all that we do. Yet, whenever we do His grace reminds us that we can always come right back to Him no matter how far we wander. The story of the prodigal son is a beautiful illustration of our Heavenly Father’s love and grace toward us. God Is.....

  You are staring up into the sky with tears in your eyes wondering why God isn’t answering your prayers. Why is it that your whole world is falling apart and it seems that God doesn’t seem to care? “God why don’t you fix this” you shout. A still small voice responds with, “Have you given me everything about you?” God is: everything to me. June 30 th 2012 was the day I recall Christ becoming my center. He became the center of all I do. I actually gave my heart to him when I was twelve years old, however, I feel that June 30 th was when my relationship with Him really began. After this date I really began digging into His Word and finding out more about who He is. Also at this time I started to see His plan for my life beginning to form.
